Lifeline Healthcare Education was founded in 1992, as an American Heart Association Training Center, by Marla Chappelear RN, CCRN, CNRN with the express purpose of creating an educational experience that would give our students the ability to act confidently, and in a leadership role, in an emergency situation.

Marla and her colleagues have worked tirelessly to that end for 24 years. Lifeline, and our satellite training centers, have trained over 63,000 students in a relaxing atmosphere where “Questions are encouraged and the material presented to you is the material you will need not only to pass the course, but to use effectively in the real world of both the healthcare and community settings.”

Lifeline’s founder, Marla Chappelear RN, CCRN, CNRN  died of a massive heart attack in 2008. She was 52 years old. Every class we teach is dedicated to her memory.
